Does Every Other Day Diet Really Work?

March 25, 2010 by admin · Leave a Comment

The Every Other Day Diet basically involves eating whatever you want after a gap of two days that is, eating your favorite foods alternately. Like its name suggests, the every other day diet plan is for all those who want to lose weight quick without having to give up on their day to day eating habits. However, the plan has not been tested well and is not recommended for all those suffering from conditions like heart diseases, diabetes, or any other physical problem and eating disorders because it can cause them harm instead of doing good to them.

On one day, people are required to consume light food consisting of light calories, and the other day they can eat heavy fatty foods and intake a lot of calories. This suggests that the body does not get used to a constant metabolism, thus tricking it into burning extra energy and fat and thus losing more weight at the same time.

This is not a traditional diet approach and thus, it works better than those that are. At first this entire plan might sound a little too impractical and unrealistic to people but studies have proved that it actually works.

There are many men and women across the globe that have found it very helpful in the process of losing weight and many people even find it better than going to the gym daily or having to join fitness boot camps, or even going running and jogging all the time. This diet plan is also more convenient for people who have hectic work schedules and cannot take time out to exercise daily.

The author of the famous book on day diets, Joe Benson, also agrees that this diet plan has been researched on and has been found helpful for easy weight loss.
